Spring in the Upper Delaware
Well so far the spring has been perfectly amazing– a little cool but great for hiking or just being outdoors. Most guests right now are taking advantage of the hiking but there are all kinds of reasons to visit Milford.
Visitors are sometimes surprised after walkng around town and poking their heads into our local galleries by the number and caliber of our local artists. Clearly there is much in the Upper Delaware to inspire. But in addition to creating, they are teaching, and bringing people here to Milford to learn from them as well as to enjoy the local color. My friend, Joanne Kalish, is sponsoring a spring workshop on Saturday June 7th that will get you to Luna Parc, the home of another great local artist, Ricky Boscarino, which she describes as an “an environmental Sculpture Park”. It is a constant work in progress and having been there I can assure you this is a great opportunity to experience and photograph something truly unique. Other venues for photography buffs will be the beautiful 70 acre Llama Farm where approximately 80 Llamas roam freely. And don’t forget the waterfalls. Got a camera?
