Somehow we got to November and it sure seems like we skipped the fall. Last week asters were reblooming in my garden. The fragrant vibernum was flowering from what I assumed was next spring’s buds. Then there were suddenly a few days of brilliant color on the Japanese maple and today the leaves are completely gone. The snow squall yesterday was a complete surprise. Today the sun shone brightly on a crisp day and it is all good again. The marvelous part of northeastern Pennsylvania are the seasons. I hate when one is too short, unless of course it is winter. But at the end of fall we get to eat turkey. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and Harrington House will once again be full of guests, family and friends. Maybe we will pull out the bike for one last tour of the McDade Trail before we pull out the snow shoes. But for sure we will eat well. Happy Thanksgiving!
