Life in Milford, PA and at the Harrington House is a little quiet in winter. But now that the crocus and daffodils are starting to make an appearance, lots of other things start happening as well. A complete listing of festivals and events can be found on the Milford Presents website and their rack cards that are all over the area.
First out of the box is the Beach to Towers 8k Run/Walk on Sunday, April 7th. This event will benefit the Delaware-Highland Conservancy. The goal is to bring attention to our local recreational sites. Starting and ending at Milford Beach in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, the run will take athletes to Grey Towers and back through Milford Borough.
Also starting in April and continuing through December, Milford After Dark will feature extended hours in our shops and galleries on the second Saturday of every month. Originally started in 2003, local galleries began coordinating their openings and other special features and the tradition continues. Second Saturdays in Milford are always the place to be.
Visitors to Harrington House during the first weekend in May can enjoy our annual Toast to Milford, a day-long celebration of food & drink in restaurants and businesses with free tastings around town. A little later in May, Dancefest Milford, returns at multiple venues throughout the Borough.
And then there is the annual Milford Music Festival on June 21-23rd. The streets of Milford will be hopping from one end of town to the other with a wide variety of musical styles. The Merchants of Groove will once again put in an appearance on the front lawn of Harrington House on Saturday from 1-3. Not an event to be missed.
